About

The North Star
Most people don't walk into a space and notice typography or layout.
They don't analyze lighting or color palettes.
But they feel something.
They feel when a space is warm.
When a story resonates.
When an experience feels intentional.
When a product or experience feels like it was made for them.
As a design leader, I see the details most people don't consciously register. But I've learned that those details only matter if they support an emotion people can connect to — belonging, nostalgia, celebration, discovery.
Brand & creative leadership, to me, is about protecting that emotional thread.
It's about ensuring that every touchpoint — physical or digital — feels cohesive and rooted in the same point of view. It's about evolving with culture without losing identity. It's about elevating craft while keeping the experience human.
I lead by setting a clear aesthetic standard and staying close to the work — building strategy, shaping concepts, directing shoots, mentoring teams, and refining the details that turn good ideas into meaningful ones.
When creative is aligned to the brand values and intentional, people don't just notice it.
They come back.
That's the North Star I lead by.
This is the lens I now bring specifically to fashion and lifestyle — a world where brand doesn't live in a campaign or a color palette. It lives in the moment someone puts on a piece of clothing and feels more like themselves. It lives in the ritual of a beauty routine, the feeling of walking into a store that seems to already know you. I've spent twenty years protecting that emotional thread across retail environments, private label brands, and consumer platforms at national scale. Now I'm bringing that same discipline — emotional intent first, every system built around it — to fashion and lifestyle brands that want to be felt, not just seen.
I had the privilege of knowing and working with Durriya for five and a half years while I was Senior Vice President of Marketing at OfficeMax. She is without a doubt one of the most talented, professional and personable people I have ever known. Durriya moved quickly up the ranks at OfficeMax because she demonstrated remarkable talent and management skills. Durriya is a star in my book. She is truly amazing.
